Unfortunately this newest version changes the layout of what was a wonderful app in addition to losing all of your stored equations I am looking into how I can revert to an older version as I do not like the new version at all! Too bad they ruined a perfect great program :(

Wow, a real downgrade from the look and feel - and I lost my equations - loved the old version in which I could hold this phone sideways - Im like several other reviewers, bring it back!

By removing the "Classic" view (which is why I bought the app), the company has removed the appeal in exchange for no discernible improvement in functionality. Perhaps HP sent them a letter to stop using its design. If so, they should say so and offer refunds to anyone that wants one. What next? They start removing functions? I was very upset to find the look and feel I have been used to is gone.

The classic view was so much better. What does it take to have R-L-M developers listen to our needs and bring back the old but better interface?

Why Did you take away the ability to use 2x to zoom for the iPad. Now I have to use small keys on the iPad which is a real turnoff to your app. It was fine now it feels worse!

The update was okay but now the calculator does NOT fit completely the iPad3 screen. It now looks like an iPhone ONLY app. not an iPad one. Please, fix it and Ill change my rate.

I was amazed to find this calculator, the HP 17BII Financial Calculator, in the App Store. Years ago, the 17BII (the real calculator, not the virtual one) was my favorite since College. This App captures everything I liked of the original and then some. If you used the 17BII Calculator then youll love this App. Thank you for all your hard work!!!!

I still hate this upgrade, the reason I bought the app in the first place was because it was very close to the actual 17b calculator which is one of HPs best in my opinion. Now its something completely different, if i wanted a different calculator app i could buy one of the hundreds of other apps out there. Here is my solution, put the original app back up and stop messing with it. If you want to have another app then call it something else. Losing my equations also is a pain in the aps.

The latest update corrected the missteps of the devious round, and this app is back to its former functionality, albeit, with some nice new additions.

The update is a disaster. Interface went from excellent to awful. All equations are wiped out when you update, but you arent told about this until after the update! Another example of untalented programmers ruining a perfectly functioning app. Jeez! The most recent update does nothing to fix the UI. You blew it again. I will dump this app as soon as someone with programming skills builds an app with a good UI, and doesnt constantly change it for the worse.

Its too big on my iPad but i love the software

Works great, a mirror image of my real HP 17Bii + without the bulk.

I have been using HP financial calculators for more than 30 years. Given the numerous problems that the current HP 17BII+ financial calculator has exhibited such as stuck keys etc., I decided to go on the iPhone apps store to see if there was anything close to an HP financial calculator available for iPhone or iPad. I was astonished to find that a company called R.L.M. Software offers seven exact duplicates of various HP calculators for use on the iPhone and the iPad. There is an exact simulated model of the HP 17BII+financial calculator available for $4.99. It is exactly the same as the HP relative to all of its financial algorithms. In addition there are additional functions not available on the real HP. The RPN mode can be reset to algebraic, the look on the screen is exactly the same as the HP. If its on an iPad you get the full screen mode. This is truly unbelievable.

Does everything my trusty 17bii does, but has some great improvements. Its awesome to be able to see three lines in the stack and the settings are changed more easily. Fantastic app!

Now that I have a iPad I would like to see a landscape view for it. Right now it just shows the portrait view shrunk to fit. I finally put my 17bii in the drawer. This is better than it is! Version 3.0 has a display problem on my iPhone 4, IOS 4.1 in landscape view when RPN is selected. Looks like the "Enter" key is the problem.

Its nice to be able to leave my 17bii+ in a drawer most of the time. Its not perfect, but its really good at what it is, and does what it claims.

UPDATE - FIXED MY ONLY PROBLEM AND THEY ARE GREAT COMPANY FOR SUPPORT. GET IT GET IT GET IT The 17Bii was my workhorse in business school and beyond - always felt it was HPs best calculator - and it is faithfully and beautifully re-imaged here. Buy it!

Just like the real thing and always with me

I have been using this app for years and love it. I never use a standalone calculator anymore. It is great to have this on the phone and always handy. I think the 17B is much better than the 12C.

On my way to my Finance midterm I forgot my calculator on the subway. Downloaded this app and I am so thankful!! I have a 17+ and I needed something that feels like the actual thing....and it does!! Excellent purchase!!!!
